The wind tore off yellow leaves from the trees long ago and scattered them all over the country so that they rot in sleet. The sky have been clouded by heavy gray clouds which drifted lazily across the sky. It is the gloomy morning and on the edge of gravel drive stops a car. After a short time young man and woman get out of the car. They take their equipment out of the trunk, look around for the last time and go to take a peek outside the chateau in the middle of unkempt park. This is how might look ordinary photo-expedition of young French photograph who use the pseudonym WilKaza Urbex (gallery).

He describes himself as an “funny character”. This is reflected in his work. By his photos with young girls as lonely very impressive feature completing the overall mood places he has attracted a lot of people.

As it happens, he explored abandoned places in his area from the childhood. Out of curiosity he explored factories and houses in hometown to merge with shadows. With a camera and another equipment he decided to visit those places a little later and yet already more than three years ago.

“I like stay in the dark, as I like to be discreet. I do not like taking pictures on sunny days! I like the indirect light, sometimes dark and above all arrive early at a place especially in winter and decor that goes with – fog, cold,“ he says about arrangements of his photos.

Those who watch his work, will undoubtedly notice the girls in photographs. Unconditionally they are impressive portraits and nudes, models aren´t the main domain of pictures. In the words of author they are “ghosts that are added to place.“ Shadows, silhouettes or fragile creatures don´t disrupt oppressive atmosphere of places. On the contrary, sometimes they are just what complete the atmosphere. “I like the idea that the two can become one. I am immediately charmed by this little collaboration with models.“

Sometimes he relies on luck and takes models to places which he doesn´t know. Other time he returns to buildings which he visited alone or with his friends before. According to this he chooses girls to take with him. “I do not have a favorite model, but I like when the model involved, advises, or critical challenges sometimes my pictures is what is my most constructive way,“ describes WilKaza the ideal model.

Poses and composition are mostly result of immediate ideas. He doesn´t prepare scene before shooting. He leaves everything to the imagination. “There is always the risk to remain the door. In fact, I love castles especially when still some furniture and architecture. I also like the old hospital.“
